Saints & Scholars Academy Limited ("SSA") collects personal information to deliver its academic programs. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights — in accordance with BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

By enrolling in SSA's programs or submitting information through our website, you consent to the practices described here.

With SSA Mentors and Tutors

Student name, grade, academic goals, and session notes may be shared with assigned SSA mentors and tutors solely for the purpose of delivering sessions and preparing progress reports. Mentors are bound by confidentiality obligations.

With Service Providers

As Required by Law

SSA may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, including under BC's Child, Family and Community Service Act duty-to-report obligations.

5. Data Storage and Security

Personal information is stored in Canada and on servers operated by our service providers, which may be located outside Canada. Where data is held outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

SSA applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted communications. SSA will respond promptly to any suspected data breach.

6. Data Retention

SSA retains personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:

7. Children's Privacy

SSA's services are directed at minor students (under the age of 18). We collect student personal information only through their parent or guardian, who is responsible for providing consent on the student's behalf.

SSA does not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors without parental or guardian consent. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to SSA without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at director@saintsscholars.ca.

8. Photo and Media Policy

SSA does not photograph, record, or capture video or audio of students during online sessions without explicit prior written consent from a parent or guardian. Any consent provided is specific in scope and may be withdrawn at any time by written notice to SSA.

SSA will not use images, videos, or identifying information about students in any marketing, promotional, or public-facing materials without separate, explicit written consent.

9. Your Rights Under PIPA (BC)

As a resident of British Columbia, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information held by SSA:

10. Cookies and Website Tracking

saintsscholars.ca is a static site hosted on Netlify. SSA does not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics. SSA does not use cookies for marketing or tracking purposes.

11. Changes to This Policy

SSA may update this policy to reflect changes in practice or law. Enrolled families will be notified of material changes by email. The current version is always at saintsscholars.ca/privacy.
